The Saussurea Foundation
The Saussurea Foundation is a non-profit organization of social value, whose headquarters lie just outside Courmayeur, in Pavillon du Mont Fréty. The Foundation’s mission is to promote, encourage and divulge naturalistic studies, with particular attention to the Valle d'Aosta and the Mont Blanc area.

An invitation: lower your gaze and take a closer look at the natural intelligence that shapes every detail of every species in this unique ecosystem, which is home to specimens it would be impossible to find in the space of a few square meters. Alpine Gardens of the Valle D'Aosta

Castel Savoia

Paradisia
Inside the Gran Paradiso National Park there is Paradisia, the most important of the botanical gardens of Valle d’Aosta, and the one with the greatest scientific value. Paradisia was founded in 1955 in the valley of Cogne, at an altitude of 1700 meters. It takes its name from the mountain lily, whose scientific name is Paradisea liliastrum.

Chanousia
Blooming since 1897, Chanousia is the precursor of the alpine gardens: it is located at an altitude of 2170 meters, near the Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo, in French territory.
