THE PLANTS OF SAUSSUREA
As you stroll through the Gardens, you’ll see small plaques identifying the plants: on them are the family name and the genus and species (and in some cases, the subspecies) and the common name in Italian or in its country of origin, for the exotic species.
Each plaque has a color:
YELLOW indicates native species;
WHITE is for the exotic species;
RED is for medicinal plants;
RED WITH A SKULL for the poisonous ones.
