THE MISSION OF THE SAUSSUREA FOUNDATION
The Foundation exclusively pursues goals consistent with environmental protection and the valorization of nature and the environment, social solidarity, scientific research and cultural promotion.
Its objectives are and will be pursued also through the carrying out of the following activities:
- Tending and developing the Pavillon du Mont Fréty Botanical Gardens, by donating collections of rocks and minerals, specimens of alpine fauna and other naturalistic material;
- Developing other initiatives to the benefit of the natural assets of the Mont Blanc alpine area;
- Granting cash awards to those who most distinguish themselves through studies and research on the alpine environment;
- Contributing to the promotion and funding of contests, conventions, conferences and sector scientific and cultural initiatives in general;
- Contributing to scientific research through collaborations with universities and research institutes.
